US Olympic Shooting 2008

The United States sent a 21-member shooting team to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The team competed for a total of 15 Olympic medals, nine men's and six women's, during the August 9-17, 2008 competitions. Six of the 14 male team members are also members of the United States Military.U.S. Army: Olympic Shooting Team Soldiers on TV today (July 2, 2008)

Since shooting was added an an Olympic sport in 1896, the United States shooting team has earned 103 medals, including 50 gold medals. At the 2008 Summer Games, the U.S. won six medals, two each gold, silver and bronze.
